| Letter to Parents - 3rd September 2009 |
| I am writing to confirm that the After School Club is now up and running for the autumn term. For those of you whose children have not yet used this facility, it takes place in the youth centre, near the squash courts, every night after school from 3.00-6.00pm. Children do not have to book in advance but can turn up and sign in as and when they want to. |
| Please note: the charge is £2.00 per session, payable in cash on entry. Alternatively, if you know that you want your child to come to the club every day, a cheque for £10.00 can be brought to the finance office at the start of the week. If a child just needs to pop in for a few minutes while they wait for their lift there is no charge for this but we would ask that they still sign in and out. |
| Activities available include Film Club every Thursday, support with homework, table football, Wii games, outdoor recreation (basketball, football etc), pool and a variety of other games. We are also hoping to offer the chance to complete an Arts Award through the club this year. Children can purchase snacks and drinks for a small additional cost. |
| We hope that the club will enable as many children as possible to participate in the full life of the school. The club is available from 3.00pm for children who want somewhere to be with their friends rather than going home to an empty house, but is also available for children to go to at 4.00pm if they have attended another club or activity and want to wait somewhere safe for their lift home. |
| If you have any questions about the club please feel free to contact me on the school phone number or the college email address. |
| Many thanks for your support, |
Ally Brennan

| The After School Club

3.00pm to 6.00pm. Daily membership is £2.00 per session
per pupil for full access to the Club premises and all its facilities

| The aim of the After School Club is to offer

day is over and to offer working parents a cheaper alternative
to child care. The club is run by members of staff at CVC and
emphasises healthy positive lifestyles to all members. |
