Amnesty Group Meeting
Lunchtime Club
ALL WELCOME
The Amnesty Group meets in MA6 at 12.30 pm during Friday lunchtimes (bring a paked lunch).
All years welcome. Just turn up.
"The Amnesty Group meets each week to carry out activities related to the work of Amnesty International. We write letters on behalf of people whose human rights have been infringed (eg they have been tortured or unjustly imprisoned by their governments). We carry out fund-raising on behalf of our work for Amnesty and send greetings cards before Christmas to people imprisoned for their political affiliations or beliefs. On occasion we watch presentations or films about a specific person or situation."

Art Club
After School Activity
ACTIVITY NOW FULL
The Art Club meets in Art 1 on Monday afternoons from 3.00 to 4.15pm.
All years welcome.

"A chance to spend some extra time exploring different art styles and techniques in a relaxed atmosphere. Students will work towards producing high quality work using the specialist equipment provided."

Art and Design GCSE
After School Activity
COURSE NOW FULL
Art and Design GCSE meets in the Art Department on Monday afternoons (Year 11) and Wednesday afternoons (Year 10) from 3.00 to 5.00pm.

"This course is for those pupils wanting to take Art as an additional GCSE to the options chosen within school time. They will follow an identical curriculum to the in-school GCSE including sitting their exams along with all the other Art students. Art is mainly a coursework based GCSE, therefore pupils are asked to consider the demands of an additional coursework-heavy GCSE on top of their normal curriculum when deciding whether to take up the course."

Chess Club
Lunchtime Club
JUST TURN UP!
The Chess Club meets in IT1 on Monday lunchtimes.
Both experts and beginners welcome. All years.
"The chess club is a place where you can play a game with friends, or seek advice from more expert players. The club is run by two prefects, Simon Sorensen and George Kendall."

Year 7 Multi Sports
After School Activity
PLACES AVAILABLE
Year 7 Activity.
Multi Sports meets in the Sports Hall on Friday afternoons from 3.00 to 4.00pm.
"Year 7 Multi Sports runs on a Friday so pupils can go home on the late bus. We offer three different activities and these change each half term. A variety of activities are offered and children can choose when they get there. At the moment it is squash, basketball and dance. Pupils are welcome to do a different thing each week if they want."

The Boys Tennis Club meets at the Tennis Courts every Thursday afternoon from 3.00 to 4.00pm during the Autumn Term.
Open to Year 7 and 8 Boys only.
All equipment provided.
"The boy's Year 7+8 Tennis Club is open to beginners and improvers who may be interested in playing for the CVC tennis team in the future. Both fun and competitive tennis is on offer. "

Youth Club (Junior)
Evening Activity
ACTIVITY CANCELLED!
The Junior Youth Club for Years 7, 8 and 9 (Monday evenings) has now been cancelled, due to low numbers attending the Club.
The Senior Youth Club (see below) will continue for Years 9, 10 and 11 in the Youth Centre on Mondays from 7.30 to 9.30pm.
