Dear CVC Students and Parents -
When we were visited by teachers and students from our partner school in Mozambique in September last year, they told us that the thing that they needed most for their school was books for their library.
Since that time we have been lucky enough to make contact with Mr Robert Stephens, chairman of the Jeanne Stephens Foundation, which seeks to promote educational and social projects in Mozambique. If each CVC student could donate one book (good condition or new), the Foundation would be responsible for shipping our books to Mozambique.
We think that this is a fantastic opportunity for us to make a real difference to our partner school. We are launching this project to coincide with World Book Day this week on Thursday 4 March, but our books will be shipped during the Easter holiday and we can therefore collect books anytime from this Thursday up until Monday 29 March.
Bring your book to morning registration and your tutor will give you an insert so that you can dedicate your book personally. We look forward to sending close to 1500 books to Mozambique this year.
